Fojanga Academy is an educational institution officially established in 2022, utilizing the facility of the previously closed Fojanga Foundation School. It was founded by a group of individuals who were formerly parents of students at the Fojanga Foundation School. As a result, Fojanga Academy has inherited the "play and learn" approach and the combination of the national and British curriculum that had distinguished Fojanga Foundation in the Gambia.
Fojanga Academy continues to uphold the educational philosophy and curriculum approach that set Fojanga Foundation School apart. The "play and learn" approach prioritizes a more hands-on, interactive, and child-centered learning experience, encouraging students to explore and actively engage in their learning. This approach recognizes the significance of play in children's cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Furthermore, Fojanga Academy maintains a balance between the national and British curriculum. This combination allows students to benefit from both local educational standards and international educational practices. The national curriculum provides a solid foundation in local content and meets the educational requirements set by the Gambian authorities, while the British curriculum offers a broader perspective and a global outlook.

At Fojanga Academy, we take immense pride in our vibrant learning community. Currently, we have more than 80 students who are at the heart of everything we do. These young minds inspire us daily, and we are committed to providing them with the best possible education and support to help them flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
As we continue to grow and expand, our ambitious goal is to welcome more and more Kids into our Fojanga family. This target reflects our dedication to offering a nurturing and inclusive environment to an even larger number of young learners.
